Domains

Through the Domains section you can manage your subdomains, addon domains and parked domains. You can also set redirects for your URLs. Additionally, you can purchase a domain name transfer and a domain ID protection. You can register a new domain, change the primary domain name for your account and manage the DNS configuration of your domains.

Sub Domain
What is the sub domain: Subdomains are URLs for different sections of your website. They use your main domain name and a prefix. For example, if your domain is yourcompany.com a sub-domain of your domain might be support.yourcompany.com.

How to create a sub domain:

Step 1: Log into cPanel and click on the "Subdomains" icon.
Step 2: In the "Subdomain" field, please select the name of the subdomain which you wish to use, for example, you might choose "blog". If you choose blog, then your subdomain will look like "blog.example.com".
Step 3: Next, select the desired domain you wish to create this subdomain for from the drop down menu to the right of the "Subdomain" field. You may create a subdomain for any addon, parked or subdomain that already exists in your cPanel.
Step 4: When you click on the "Document Root" field, it should automatically populate with a cPanel suggested location from which the subdomain will load it's content. For instance, if you chose "blog" as your new subdomain, then the "Document Root" field will populate with "/public_html/blog". This means that the new subdomain will load it's content from the folder named "blog" from within the "public_html" directory.
Step 5: Once all three fields are set the way you prefer, simply click on the "Create" button to complete the creation of your new subdomain.

How to delete sub domain

Step 1: Login to cPanel and click Subdomains.
Step 2: At the bottom, under Actions, click Remove.

Addon Domain

What is the addon domain: An addon domain allows visitors to reach a subdomain of your site by typing the addon domain's URL into a browser. This means that you can host additional domains from your account, if allowed by your hosting provider. Addon Domains Subdomains are relative to your account's home directory

How to create a addon domain:

Login to your cPanel and click Addon Domains, under Domains. There are three fields cPanel asks for when creating an Addon Domain.

01. New Domain Name: Enter the new domainname.com, but do not put http or www in the name.
02. Username/directory/subdomain Name: This will be the folder cPanel creates in your public_html folder. Normally, you want to ensure the name you provide doesn't already exist as a folder in public_html, but cPanel will automatically suggest the name and we recommend you stick with the suggestion.
03. Password: Fill in any password you want here. This password is used for an FTP account which is automatically created by cPanel. You likely will not ever need this password, so we suggest picking a random password and forgetting about it.

Your new domain is now successfully added. You can upload the website files to the specific addon folder which was created in the public_html folder.

How to Remove an Addon Domain

If you have an Addon Domain set up and would like delete it, please do the following:

Step 1: Login to your cPanel and click Addon Domains.
Step 2: At the bottom, under Actions, click Remove.

Removing the addon domain only removes the domain from the DNS and server configuration. Your files and databases are not deleted or affected by removing the addon domain (other than the fact that you can no longer access the effected files via that domain name).

Parked Domain
Parked Domains (Domain pointers) allow you to "point" or "park" additional domain names to your existing hosting account. This will allow users to also reach your website when entering the "parked" or "pointed" domain into their browsers.

Note: Domains must be registered with a valid registrar before they can be parked. In addition, they will not be functional unless they are configured to point to your DNS servers.

Add Part Domain
Step 1: Login to cPanel and click the Parked Domains icon.
Step 2: In the box to the right of New Domain Name, provide the domain name for which you would like to park on top of your primary domain.
Step 3: Click Add Domain.

Remove Park Domain
Step 1: Login to cPanel and click Parked Domains.
Step 2: At the bottom, under Actions, click Remove.
